ABSTRACT

During the COVID19 pandemic, Vietnam implemented social distancing measures to prevent the spread of the disease. Ordering, delivery, and transportation services through applications of logistics technology develop rapidly. This study aims to determine how factors of delivery service affect customer satisfaction in the context of the Covid19 pandemic. Qualitative and quantitative research was carried out to determine the quality factors of ordering and delivery services via Grab's application in order to propose a research model. Surveyed data from 259 customers who are using Grab's app services in gio Chi Minh City during the lockdown period. Research results have shown that all five factors of delivery service quality via the Grab application have a significant impact on customer satisfaction. In particular, assurance and price policy are the most influential factors in customer satisfaction, followed by service competence and responsiveness. The research implications have been proposed to improve and enhance Grab customer satisfaction.

ABSTRACT

Background: Globally, the coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) pandemic has had a devastating psychological impact on people, especially the healthcare workers/students, in many different community settings. Limited research has been reported on the mental health issue of healthcare students in Vietnam. Objective(s): This study investigated and quantified depression, anxiety, and psychological distress levels among healthcare students, with an emphasis on comparing those studying pharmacy to students in other healthcare-related disciplines, in Vietnam during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method(s): A cross-sectional study recruited 2246 respondents between September 7 and October 7, 2021, in which 230 were pharmacy students with a mean age of 20.0 +/- 1.6 years and most of them had a low COVID-19 fear level. The standardized Patient Health Questionnaire-4 (PHQ-4) scale, consisting of two subscales of PHQ-2 and Generalized Anxiety Disorder-2 (GAD-2), was utilized for the screening of depression and anxiety levels. Result(s): Pharmacy students scored significantly higher on the PHQ-4 psychological distress measure than non-pharmacy students (mean 2.23 vs. 1.90, p = 0.039). Compared to non-pharmacy students, pharmacy students had higher rates of anxiety (10.4% vs. 6.5%, p = 0.028). Conclusion(s): The prevalence of anxiety was higher among pharmacy students in comparison to non-pharmacy students. These findings present a need to recognize and conduct early intervention measures for mental health problems in healthcare students, especially pharmacy students, during recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.Copyright © 2022 Pharmacotherapy Publications, Inc.

ABSTRACT

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a massive impact on the global aviation industry. As a result, the airline industry has been forced to embrace new technologies and procedures in order to provide a more secure and bio-safe travel. Currently, the role of smart technology in airport systems has expanded significantly as a result of the contemporary Industry 4.0 context. The article presents a novel construction of an intelligent mobile robot system to guide passengers to take the plane at the departure terminals at busy airports. The robot provides instructions to the customer through the interaction between the robot and the customer utilizing voice communications. The usage of the Google Cloud Speech-to-Text API combined with technical machine learning to analyze and understand the customer's requirements are deployed. In addition, we use a face detection technique based on Multi-task Cascaded Convolutional Networks (MTCNN) to predict the distance between the robot and passengers to perform the function. The robot can guide passengers to desired areas in the terminal. The results and evaluation of the implementation process are also mentioned in the article and show promise.

ABSTRACT

In recent decades, waste generation has increased gradually because of the development of the quantity and size of businesses, together with the high growth rate of the population. However, in 2019, like other industries, the waste management industry was affected by the COVID-19 pan-demic, particularly in relation to aspects concentrated on strategy. Subsequently, appropriate waste management in all aspects of the community, specifically for waste management enterprises, was demanded. This research aims to assess the profitable efficiency, position, technical, and technological innovation and compare the global major waste management corporations by integrating the negative super-slacks-based measure model and the negative Malmquist model in data envelopment analysis. Various inputs and outputs are initially selected from nine waste management companies’ financial statements from 2017 to 2020, including negative values, to attain their performance. The empirical results indicated that waste management companies’ managers could make better investment or strategy decisions for superior performance. At the same time, collaborators from other sectors could find their potential partners in the waste management industry. In general, considering the efficiency, Veolia Environment (DMU3) and Heritage-Crystal Clean Company (DMU8) were the most efficient companies. Meanwhile, Covanta Holding (DMU2) and Republic Services Corporation (DMU5) required additional development to improve their performance. Besides, because of the disparity in technical and technological innovation, most decision-making units could not achieve consistent improvement in terms of technical, technological change, and total production. © 2022 by the authors. ABSTRACT

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the Vietnamese economy. In the midst of a complex disease that compelled people to limit their interaction, customers' shopping habits shifted from "offline" to "online" transactions. Mobile payments have also grown in popularity. The goal of this study is to figure out what factors influence the use of mobile payments by hotel clients in Can Tho after COVID-19. The research team also examines how those factors influence customers" willingness to use mobile payment and makes recommendations to better the current situation. Primary data was collected from 227 persons using online surveys and processed with SPSS software for this study. To analyze the correlation relationship between the elements determining the intention to use, the Cronbach alpha, EFA, Correlation, and Regression methods used to assess the scale are applied. Perceived Trustworthiness, Perceived Usefulness, and Perceived Ease of Use all have positive effects on customers" propensity to use, according to the findings. Perceived Security, on the other hand, has no bearing. The findings of this study have significant theoretical and practical implications for the development of mobile payment services in Can Tho, particularly following the implementation of COVID-19.

ABSTRACT

This study intends to analyze the impact of the country of origin on the intention to ingest COVID-19 vaccinations by measuring Vietnamese people's perceptions of India in the manufacture of COVID-19 vaccines. The research is done using a quantitative method, and primary data was obtained using a conventional manner based on the willingness of the research respondents, who are Vietnamese persons aged 18 and up, to contribute information. The findings revealed that perceived brand association and perceived brand quality directly positively impact the COVID-19 vaccine's consumption intention and willingness. Meanwhile, while the perceived country image component has no direct effect on consumption intention, it does have a positive indirect effect on consumption intention through perceived brand linkage and perceived brand quality. The findings also emphasize the importance and significance of a country's image in brand association and quality perception. The study's findings imply that to increase consumers' willingness to buy India's COVID-19 vaccination, the country should develop communication initiatives to improve consumer perceptions of the country's image, the perceived value of the brand association, and brand quality.

ABSTRACT

At present, environmental problems are gradually becoming quite serious because of the expansion of the business scale of companies, factories, and enterprises, and that is also the reason for the global pollution of the world. Green entrepreneurship is playing an increasingly crucial role in influencing people's intentions, behaviors, and attitudes toward environmental protection through sustainable development. The purpose of this research was to examine the factors affecting university students' green entrepreneurship levels in Vietnam. To do this, we performed a scientific research survey with 773 students from reputable universities in Vietnam, 337 of whom are male and 436 of whom are female. To assess the reliability and correlation between observed and total variables, this study employs scale testing methods such as Cronbach alpha, EFA, CFA, and SEM. After evaluating the influencing elements, the findings reveal that the Subjective norm factor and the Risk-aversion component are two distinct aspects that influence university students' green entrepreneurship intentions in Vietnam and of which, the greatest influence is Risk Aversion. Furthermore, the findings revealed that the level of interest in green entrepreneurship is mostly seen by students with university education between the ages of 18-25.

ABSTRACT

A number of studies have indicated that short food supply chains could create economic, social, and environmental benefits, but most of those chains were implemented in developed coun-tries. This research aims to find out the characteristics of short food supply chains and their benefits to small farmers in Vietnam, which is a developing country, based on the survey results from 338 small farmers in the third quarter of 2020, with the support of Stata 14 software. The results showed that the short food supply chains in the survey sample in Vietnam were characterized by two main actors: small farmers and distributors. Farmers could sell products flexibly at the local market. There was some initial evidence to prove that these chains helped to stabilize the input, output price, and revenue;formulated sustainable income;and increased the satisfaction and confidence of farmers. They eliminated gender discrimination in rural areas and improved livelihood for ethnic minorities. These chains also enhanced the mindset on green, organic, and clean production of farmers, which in turn created environmental benefits. COVID-19 has posed a negative impact on the income of farmers and made them change their production and sales method. Therefore, the research could suggest some policies to sustainably develop the short food supply chains in Vietnam in the future. © 2021 by the authors. Licensee MDPI, Basel, Switzerland.
